Astro

Astro originally came to Jess approximately two years ago as a candidate for a riding school horse. He was a sight unseen interstate purchase during COVID. What arrived was NOT what was advertised. He was extremely obese with a whole lot of issues going on including pain related aggression and pigrooting under saddle.

Astro has a lot of asymmetry in his body due to long term compensation and so a saddle had to be custom fitted to allow for the overdeveloped shoulder on the offside. Once this came into play his pigrooting under saddle subsided and he was actually able to canter freely with a rider on board.  

Astro made his way into Kerrie's heart and life and he now lives out his days as part of her herd. He has had a lot of metabolic issues going on which have been managed and his quality of life improved through the use of the Metabolic powder that TGE have created. He is also on PEA to manage his pain levels and has had corrective trimming and regular body work for quite some time now. Astro is still improving day to day and has had 12 months off riding to be able to focus on healing.
